There are multiple types of temperature sensors are available. Such as “Thermocouple “and “RTD “(resistance temperature detector). Some process requires precise temperature such as Pasteurizers while some of the machines do not require precision such as moulding machines.

RTD are much more accurate than Thermocouples. That’s why RTD are used in high precision machines. In this post, We are going to discuss RTD based one of the temperature transmitter that is “IFM TA2232“.

This temperature transmitter works on PT-1000 mechanism. This transmitter contains a microcontroller which produces temperature proportion analogous output and IO-Link. That’s why this sensor is known as “Temperature transmitter“.

IFM TA2232 is a type of temperature transmitter. This sensor is a combination of “RTD” and “microcontroller“. The RTD PT-1000 continuously monitors the temperature and produces in proportion resistance variation While microcontroller converts the temperature data into analogous output and I-O Link.

This temperature transmitter contains PT-1000 Type RTD. PT-1000 RTD produces linear variation in resistance in parallel with rise in temperature. At 0°C is produces 1000 ohm resistance . As temperature increases; resistance increases proportionally.
