A floating neutral is a condition in which the Neutral conductor loses its firm electrical connection due to looseness, corrosion, carbonization, or conductor breakage. Because the neutral point is no longer at a fixed potential, its voltage fluctuates according to load conditions. In break neutral, Neutral get completely break off. Either burnt or damaged due to short circuit or overload. It is the situation like neutral is not connected.
